Date cake (Video)



Dates with vanilla aroma, a fantastic combination, isn’t it? Ready in 15 minutes, mix dates and raisins, arrange and refrigerate. Great!

Is needed:

* 220g chopped dates
* 50g of raisins
* 100g chopped hazelnuts
* 3 spoons of cocoa
* 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract


Date cake is made as follows:

-Place the chopped dates in a deep bowl, then add the raisins. Pour hot water over the dried fruit and let it stand for 10 minutes to soften and then strain it with a strainer.

-We put the fruit in a blender, add hazelnuts and then cocoa. Add vanilla extract for aroma and mix.

-We put the mixture in a deeper bowl. Then we apply it on a greased piece of aluminum foil, we spread the mixture with our hands into a rectangular shape of 1.5 cm thick. We leave the foil with the cake in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

-I cut the cooled cake into pieces. Place 4 date cakes on a serving plate. We decorate with flowers from orange circles.

-With this dessert we suggest drinking a dry white wine made from the Chardonnay variety, with a fruity aroma and sweet taste. It is served chilled at a temperature of 10 to 12 degrees. As a great end to this delicious meal, we suggest drinking a cup of black coffee.
